Protect the pool, kill the creature and inspect the sphere

...the creature growls in the darkness. Unfortunately I can't do anything useful so Idecided to go up and grab the litle girl. The next thing I do is bring her down to prone level then go over to the other guy and attempt to stabalize him...failing........(to be continued).
